Trip to CMP
Well I woke up at 9:00am today. Pretty good considering it's noon out east. Since i slept nearly 12 hours i decided to take a little trip south. I don't have a car yet, so i'm stuck to footing it for now. I was happy to get out in the sun though.
Original plan was to find a park to rollerblade in, but i have nowhere to put my shoes if i don't rollerblade to the park itself, so i decided to just walk to work. According to mapquest, CMP is 2.7 miles south of me. On the way down i passed Lincoln Park but not too much else worth taking pictures of. Stepped into the Burbank Public Library for a drink since the temp was already 80 outside. Finally made it to CMP but didn't walk in. What was i supposed to say? I walked around back to see where i could park on the first day, but their lot is all locked down. I assume i'll get a keycard on my first day.
So then i turned right around and went north towards home. Stopped for some groceries on my way back and talked to Tricia, who was in the Detroit airport waiting for her plane to go back to Lansing. Finally got home with sore feet and really feeling the heat. Went to the front door to find it locked. Great. No one else was home. I used a little trick i learned back in my days of breaking into homes to break in to my own house. I definately need a key... and a car.... maybe a scooter....
