San Diego

Last weekend I visited George down in San Diego to see if he was still alive. He's doing real well, and I'm sure he'll do great things with himself there. Him and I, along with 4 other people made it to the Red Bull Air Race world series held in the Bay. It was a fun time. Six hours standing in the direct sun makes for some pretty harsh farmers tans though. Everyone I passed at work had a nice comment for me. "Where did YOU go this weekend?" "OO you look burned" "WHAT HAPPENED!?" etc....

Here are some pictures of the event that I had no part in taking.

You can see the water entrance to the marina on the far side...we stood on the peninsula on the right, close to the air control tower, if you can spot it.

One of the planes close up. They topped out at about 230 mph.
