Friday, Decator, and Superman.
Tomorrow I will have worked in LA for 3 weeks and 2 days. I think so far i've settled in to a comfortable level. Since Shane, one of my coworkers (shanehouston.com), has been sick the past week, I've been able to take advantage of his Quad G5 computer. For those of you that don' tknow what that is...it's pretty much the fastest single computer on the market right now. Four 2.5GHz processors, 4 GB RAM, and nice dual 20" LCD monitors. It's great. It sounds mean, but i hope Shane is sick tomorrow too, just to get to use his computer.
Tomorrow morning at 6:15am PST my boss Jon is picking me up and taking me to his athletic club in LA to work out and play paddle tennis on the roof. It should be awesome...except for the early morning part. Oh well. It's a great offer that I can't pass up.
I was able to watch the new disney/pixar movie Meet the Robinsons today. I'll be working on some graphical design for that. If it's good enough you may see it in advertising campaigns. Speaking of that...when it gets a little before the 4th of July watch the TV for a Cars commercial featureing a shot of a racetrack with a giant flag over the crowd. I made that shot! The cars in the stands are flipping cards over to reveal the american flag. It lasts for about a second.
Half my roommates are in Decator Illinois for the weekend. Kinda miss those guys already. Hope they're having a blast. I'm sure they are, Pete has been talking up this trip since i got here!
The remaining roommate, Zach (Zack? Zak? Zaque?), seems to know all the right people. He was invited to Jessica Alba's birthday party, he was invited to a premiere of Strangers with Candy, and he was also invited to a premiere of Superman last night. He knows Bryan Singer, the director of Superman. He promises to take me out soon and introduce me to his friends. Our schedules keep conflicting. Mainly my work schedule ruins my chance to go to these parties with him. Oh well....one of these days....
Ok, it's 11:20 and that means i only have 7 hours to go before i need ot be IN the car with Jon driving to the club. In sleeping hours, that's like 2. I'm going to be drained.
